You still have to pay, so pay but tell the clerk that you want to fight the ticket. She/he will schedule you and the officer that gave you the ticket to court. Then if you win or he doesnt show up they give you the money back.

Greetings!

The smartest and most correct way to do this, is to plead not guilty.
The Judge will set a trial date.
Before the trial you can ask to talk to the prosecutor. He will listen to your story (plea) in regards to you making a plea bargain.

Now you tell him your story and then say, look in the interest of justice I am willing to plead guilty to a non-moving violation, say a parking ticket.

If he thinks your infraction was serious he might ask you to pay 2 or 3 or more parking tickets.

If he insists you go before the judge, then you have the opportunity to have the judges ear.

Of course if the officer is not present you can ask for an immediate dismissal and get it.

Good Luck

call the number on the back of the ticket located at the bottom and set up a court date.

that will not happen. try talking to the city attorney or DA which may or may not be possible depending where you are. I have done it before and it worked!!!
