I think people have already shown you the Calvanist side of things. As for Catholicism, here's a couple quotes from Pope John Paul II:

"Faith can never contradict reason."

"Today...fresh knowledge has led to the recognition that evolution is more than a hypothesis. It is indeed remarkable that this theory has been progressively accepted by researchers, following a series of discoveries in various fields of knowledge. The convergence, neither sought nor fabricated, of the results of work that was conducted independently is in itself a significant argument in favour of this theory."

I'd have to say that Catholics are more progressive.

while Martin Luther began the Protestant stream( a protest against the strikes of the Pope on the time), not each Catholic agreed with him, so not each Catholic left the Catholic church. on the grounds that all did not bypass away, the church survived. What did you think of may be the clarification? i'm going to guess you probably did not think of it with the aid of that a good distance. maximum toddlers do not. you've in basic terms as particularly ask, if Mennonites got here from the Amish, why are there nonetheless Amish? the clarification may be the comparable.

I don't think that Calvinist , protestant , Catholic and progressive can be used in the same sentence.

When Calvin established a theocratic dictatorship in Geneva, they murdered anyone who committed Heresy, which was anyone who questioned anything that had to do with doctrine. I would say that both sub-cults of Christianity have their roots nourished in the blood of the innocent. It is only when religion was removed from government that it stopped being as big a killing machine that it was in the past and attempted to accommodate modern realities. Today we see how easily the Muslims and Jews resort to killing to enforce their will when they are allowed to have their own states. Do you think it will get better when they have nuclear weapons?

They don't have anything to do with science as Calvinist. There are far more intellectual scripturally speaking then even the catholic priest.
I think what you are asking is, .."are they as stubborn"?

NO
