You should embrace that humor of your grandma of whom it sounds like you adore.
She is fine . . . . and playing with the cat is nothing more than showing affection and attention to her child(cat).
No need for concern. It she had 10 cats or more . . . . need for concern. If she was neglecting the cat that she has, then there is reason for concern.

Your grandma has a fine cat! Ask her to show you how her cat plays pat a cake. See if the cat will play it with you too. Laugh with grandma!

You shouldn't be concerned, especially if she lives by herself or is home alone a lot. You could try to have her go out w/ her friends more. My grandma has a cat that is her best friend

No. Playing games with your cat, or any pet is fun for both and good to keep your pets from getting into mischief if otherwise left to entertain themselves. Playing with your pets can improve your health, or so I am told.

i wouldn't worry about it too much, maybe she just likes her cat a little too much, heck i play marco polo with my dog :) if this isn't the only odd thing that she's said or done than i might check out a doctor if i were you because your grandma's getting on in years and you want her to be safe

no, don't worry about it! Iplay with my cats all the time- people who love their cats view them more like members of the family (aka actual people) than animals. I do, and there's nothing wrong with me! Plus, she's an old lady who probably gets lonely by herself... the cat is her companion.

why be concerned? Kids play games with animals, I've even seen middleage play games with animals. Should we all be concerned? NO!!!!!!!!!!! At least the animals are being played with and not ignored.
