Today, while driving my sisters car, I noticed a brown paper bag next to the passenger seat. When I opened it up, I found a bunch of mushrooms. I don't know if they were the drug kind, but why would she have mushrooms in her car? Shes 18, so its not like she needed them for food. And what really doesnt make sense to me is that my sister and her friends don't do any drugs -- except for one who she doesnt like. And she wants do join the CIA, so she refuses to do drugs! So I'm really not sure what the whole deal is, but I'm afraid to confront her about it if they are drugs and I dont know how I would bring it up to my parents. Any suggestions?

Your sister is 18 a grown up.. Maybe they aren't even hers. Why don't you just ask her.
And as far as your parents are concerned why bother telling them? She is a adult and its not like she is hurting anyone or being crazy.
Let your sister make her own mistakes that is the only way to learn.

Just ask her why did she buy some mushrooms? Then go on to ask if she is planning on cooking something?
I don't know anything about mushrooms being used for drugs but nothing surprises anymore these days.
It sounds important enough to talk to your sister to see what is going on with her.

There are only a few varieties of mushrooms available for general consumption. The common psychedelic mushroom are Liberty Caps, which don't look like normal garden variety mushrooms at all. Psychedelics are non-addictive and if she doesn't make it a problem, it shouldn't be a problem

Open up a can of mushroom soup and put it on the stove. Tell her you came across a good soup recipe and used the dried mushrooms you found in her car to make it. Her reaction will tell you what they really are.
