Here's a completely manual way to purge yourself of that software.
Where I have typed in AOL, just substitute in the name of the software.
If your software has a name, e.g. wirelessmouse, and it is published by ABC Software then it is best to do searches as defined below for both of the names. i.e. "wirelessmouse" and "ABC Software". In this way you'll get anything that refers to that mouse and its software off your computer. Just be careful with the publisher name. As an example, if it is Microsoft you certainly don't want to remove all files, folders, and registry entries that reference Microsoft. So be careful.
Before you start, remove the wireless mouse and any of its' adapters from your PC and install a regular mouse. Reboot your PC so the new mouse is recognized.
********************************************************
GETTING RID OF AOL ON YOUR PC
Click on Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove any AOL programs residing there.
Now click on Start > Search > For Files or Folders > All Files and Folders
type in AOL in the top box and let the computer do a complete search of your hard drive. When it is done, click on Edit at the top of the window and click on Select All
Then click on File and click on Delete. It will ask you if you want to remove them. Click on Yes.
If you want to REALLY finish the job:
NOTE: DON'T DO ANYTHING ELSE IN THE REGISTRY OTHER THAN WHAT I MENTION HERE. If you are not familiar with editing the registry and you do other things you may give yourself some big headaches.
Click on Start > Run >
type in regedit
click once on the very top directory to hilite it.
Hold down Ctrl + F; this will open a search window
type in AOL and then click on Find Next
when it finds an AOL entry, right click on it and select Delete and yes. (Do this if it is a folder in the left hand pane or if it is an entry in the right hand pane)
Hold down Ctrl + F again and repeat the process until you have cleaned your registry of all AOL items. This may be a very tedious process so hang in there.
When you think you have it all out. Go back up to the top directory in the left pane, hilite it, and search for AOL once again just to make sure you didn't miss any.
Once you are completely done. Reboot your PC. This will reset the registry without all the AOL crap.
Hope this helps!

In order to remove the program, since you can't do it the traditional methods, I would suggest seeking out each program file for that software, and deleting it manually. An easy way to do this is to access your computer's search program, type in the software, and delete each of the results that match. Once you are done, empty your recycling bin, and restart your computer to finalize the job. When the computer restarts, go back into the search program, just to double check and make sure you got it all. (You never know, sometimes it finds more things after you restart.)
When all of the files itself are gone, go through the computer with a registry cleaning program.

.
For some reason, some software is coded to
make it very difficult for you to REMOVE the program...
BUT there is a FREEWARE utility that does the job nicely, and can be used to remove
all stubborn programs.
All you need to do is RIGHT click on the
stubborn pest, and select option to "Remove On Reboot".
The restart your computer.
I've used this a number of times and
like it very much.
Download the utility for free here:
