Why do you want to backup Word and PPT only? Why not burn a backup copy of the whole Office package?

You can back them up if you have enabled Windows backup. It isn't enabled automatically when Windows is installed. Check this link for more information.

Once you have enabled the backup utility, you can choose what you want to back up on a CD.
