YOU'RE GOING TO HELL IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN JESUS! God Bless You - a stupid christian

Because they want to force us into believing something so stupid to even begin with!

I honestly don't know why. I certainly don't.

The stories of the man with the 100 sheep, the vineyard workers, but above all the prodigal son, shows that God does not hold a stopwatch waiting for us to do something to accept him, and as soon as our heart stops beating he clicks it and says "Oh well."

The God Jesus portrayed is one that never locks the door, never says "too bad, if only you had changed your mind sooner."

Though I do not believe in a literal heaven and hell, it is certainly possible that IF we are conscious in the afterlife there would be pain for those who still reject the love of God. Many theologians through the centuries and from all branches of Christianity have speculated that hell, instead of being the childish depiction of a pit with flames, will be the pain of being separated from God. But it will be a pain that is self-inflicted, and it will never ever be eternal IF Jesus truly taught the nature of God. The second a person didn't want to be separated from God, it would stop.

Personally, I think we may have a consciousness after death, OR we may not and just become part of the Greater Something More that is God. I really don't have an opinion one way or another, and it doesn't affect my faith at all - I have made Jesus' teachings a priority in my life because they are good and true and deepen my life and help me to be better to those around me, not to get a ticket out of hell. But if we do retain consciousness after death, I am convinced that there is no eternal hell because I believe Jesus had a special message about the nature of God.

The only reason God would put a "time limit" on his love and forgiveness, is to control people through stifling, cruel fear. I've known too many people driven into depression because they couldn't twist their mind around a doctrine they were told is essential. I find it much more likely that people put that time limit on him, because they needed to change Jesus' message of UNCONDITIONAL love and forgiveness (i.e. grace) to something more "fair" according to worldly standards. I can just hear the whines: "Its not FAIR if you are a good person and then get exactly the same as everyone else." (Umm, you don't see any intrinsic benefits for mankind to behave ethically?) "People will just do whatever they want" (Billions of ethical non-Christians proved that wrong) "You have to be required to do SOMETHING to recieve grace, or its meaningless and worthless" (Is the love of your mom worthless? Don't assume God is a market economist) "Its not fair its not fair its not fair" (No it's not - that's the POINT!)

Romans 8:38-39: I am persuaded, that NEITHER DEATH, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The God that Jesus taught is not a harsh God but a loving parent, a daddy, and like the daddy in the story of the prodigal son, he never ever says "too late." According to Jesus, the primary attribute of God is grace. I choose to believe Him.

God does not threaten non believers with hellfire...humans do this and say that it comes from God. In reality, God does forgive. We live and we learn from our mistakes.....our "job" here is to evolve spiritually, and learn whatever our life's lesson is in the pursuit of loving others as we would want to be loved.

God does forgive but he gives everyone a free will. The way to receive forgiveness is through God's son Jesus Christ. Jesus came to the earth and died for the sins of this world. You cannot come to God's forgiveness without first coming through his son Jesus Christ. Jesus was the only man who died sinless on this earth. When you ask Jesus to forgive you for your sins, come into your heart and be the lord of your life, He sends his holy spirit to live inside of you and cover your sin filled nature. God no longer sees the sinfilled person you were but sees his son Jesus living inside of you. Salvation is a free gift. Hell is not a threat and God does not want anyone to go there but the truth is the decision is entirely up to you.

God forgives you if you seek it. God wants you to deal with the issue of your sin, he loves you but he doesn't want to be with you when you are unrighteous in heart. He really wants nothing to do with sin, but he will do anything to give you a way to deal with your sin, and that is the reason why we have Christ, to ultimately give us a way to crush our sins. But in order to keep us on the path of righteousness we get the Holy Spirit, which never makes errors. Yet so long as we live we still might sin here and there, but upon our death our sinful nature will die and all we will have is a holy spirit which means we go to heaven as righteous and holy beings, with no evil inside us. There is no torture or physical burning in hell. The only thing you'll really feel in hell is emptiness because you chose your own self-righteous path instead of true righteousness.

God promises eternal life in Heaven for following him and trying to live a good and holy life. But just as we give consequences to our children when they are bad so God gives us the same. When we are trying to teach others about God we need to tell them that this is the way God tells it not make it sound like a threat. If we do not explain things carefully and totaly then we turn them off instead of get them intrerested. I try hard to get them to want to know more not less.

When people accept Christ as their Father they are forgiven of their sins. and when we are learning his will for the better life, God knows we are not always gonna know the right way. Which is why when we are depressed and hurting we ask him for understanding and sometimes he reveals to us the sin that is causing the pain in our lives. If we are truly willing to quit the sin, that is when the forgiveness begins and we can let go of the pain. Hell is not for The believers, but for the ones who refuse to accept him.

God has set a condition for salvation. If you except it you go to heaven and live with Him for ever, and if you do not except it then you will be dead for even, which is separation from the life that He gives. Are you getting closer to an understanding? I hope so. If you have any more questions just ask me.

Good Point there. I believe that to. But Since God has forgiven us we need to forgive others for sinning against us. Use your Bible to defend your faith by reading it when you feel like that. Trust me it works!

He will forgive us, we just have to ask for it and believe in him. It's not like we can just keep doing bad things and keep asking for forgiveness. Of course even the most devout Christians fail sometimes but we're forgiven because we ask for it and believe in Christ. I agree with you that a person trying to tell you about God shouldn't start off with "You're going to hell", but he/ she should tell you about a loving God and his just Son, Jesus Christ.
