Those of us who are not Christians are fed up when we submit a question that queries the validity of religious scriptures, and you answer with a pitiful "I'll pray for you"
Christians...Please don't pray for me, I can do so by myself very effectively!
Pagans, Wiccans, Diests and the like....prayers welcome!

Harley Moma....
Why are you so conceited to believe that the prayers of non Christians are never answered? God answers my prayers all the time. In fact I have a very beautiful dialogue with her....so, so beautiful that I do not have to rely on a book to communicate with her!

I'm a christian, I don't pray for no one. Same as I don't think a pagan would pray for me. Can't be no wiccans without christians, can't be no christians without wiccans. Everything is all connected. Prayer to me actually is a negative. I have not seen ANYTHING ever cured or healed by a christian prayer. I read the bible, but I don't believe in the church. Nothing more than a big business. All about the dollar. Look at the churches, there on every corner now, even have atm machines for the collections. Please. I worked with many pagans and wiccans for 21 years in the military. What pisses me off is these so called fake christians. Don't be praying for me either. At least from my experience the pagans and wiccans study their field. I've been to the Roman Catholic Church a few times. How pathetic. There is not a single person in there with a bible. Take a bible in there and they look at you like what the HELL are you doing in here with that.......................
Prayer kills.

When they say they are going to pray for us, it is often a way of expressing their annoyance with various lifestyles. It is like saying, "I know God, and he is not pleased with the way you live, so I am going to have a word with him and you better watch out", that sort of thing.
It usually happens when they are challenged about something, or when flaws are exposed, hypocrisy, etc., and it is used to transfer focus onto somebody else's life. You can tell by the tone in their voice, or that "hurt" look on their face whether or not they are sincerely interested.

Missed the meeting where all the spokespeople were elected.
Prayer comes from the heart. If you happen to be in the heart, then prayer is offered for you. If you don't happen to be, then it isn't.
Thank you for the non-prayer non-request. :-)
What's the party line on lighting a candle for you?

Dear Religionists,
If I need help, instead of praying for me - which comes off as presumptuous arrogance, by the way - why don't you *actually help me* in some way? Loan me money if I'm broke, do my chores if I'm hurt, visit me if I'm in the hospital, etc.
As Robert G. Ingersoll said, "Hands that help are better by far than lips that pray."

It's all a mental thing to put themselves on a high pedestal.
Their prayers are the 'right' prayers and they are 'better' than everyone else.
The real question is, when these people freely blurt out, 'I'll pray for you".....do we REALLY think they'll do it?
......uh..........no............

Does it really upset you that much? I'm certainly no Muslim but when they say they'll pray for me I just say thank you. If they say "May Allah bless you" I don't come out against them. They mean no harm so why answer them in a hostile way? If you're worried about them praying that you'll convert... Why be afraid? If you think they are praying to a fake God then obviously you shouldn't fear what that fake-God cannot do to you.

Let them pray for you.
At least they are trying to help someone even though they do not belive the same things. Are they hurting you for doing so?
If you do not concern yourself with them, or what they are doing, then it shouldn't matter, right?
Do you (other beliefs) offer or pray for others of just for yourselves?
(I honsetly do not know so I am not going to assume that you do.)
