I loved being a repo man! You def want to pay for it cause you will be driven nuts by the collections specialists and repo men. What happens is you go late on your payments (which are way to high in the first place) then they start calling on the first day you are late with a friendly reminder. If you make your commitment to pay that week your cool and they don't bug you but if you get in the 7-14 day catagory then they will call you and want you to come in immediately and make payment or have a firm commitment to pay. once in the 15-30 day catagory they will come to your house and bug the crap out of you or take the merchandise. If you refuse to open the door they will leave a door tag and come back the next day and so on until you open the door. If you refuse to open the door and dont pay then after 30 days it will be reported to the credit bureau and they will also take action with the court to do a "repleven" which is an officer assisted repo where they are given court permission to enter your home without permission to get the merchandise. I have assisted with many of these and they can get pretty interesting. We were forced to cut off door knobs and do some pretty nasty things to enter to recover items. Best thing to do is to just return the item and they won't bug you anymore and it prob won't even go on your credit even if you owe a ton of money depending on the company. They just want their stuff back. Good luck with your situation.

Depends on the State law. Some States don't allow involuntary repossession in your home. In those States the matter would be handled in court, same as any consumer issue. The worst that can happen is a judge demanding payment for the items and ordering monthly payments.

As long as the MoneyGram has either a signature or a stamped signature from the said person or company and you have proof stating that; (i.e a copy of the stamped MoneyGram or written documentation from the MoneyGram company showing that the money order was processed) they are going to have a hard time fighting you on this matter. Legally they could attempt to repo the said merchandise but in doing which, you could show said proof and ask them to leave, if they wish to not leave and begin to argue, you could call you local police station and have them removed for trespassing. In summation, they are going to have a hard time fighting you on this if you have the proof you say you do. But, for the most part its out of your hands right now, its their move. Also, if they reflect negative remarks on your credit after this, there is a possibility to sue for deformation of character. Good Luck!

THen you won't be able to get anything else from them, and they send it to other furniture companies and let them know you don't pay for your stuff. Then when you go to buy furniture from somewhere else they'll charge you more.

I'm sure they will contact you, try to get payment, if you still don't pay they will come to get it. how lame can you be. if you sign a contract with them you should hold yourself responsible. your signature should be your word.

My ex used to work for them as a repo man. They will come to your house at all odd hours to take their stuff back then they will bug the crap out of your references including your place of work. If they dont get what they want then it goes on your credit for the full amount plus interest. It's not a good idea.

they can repo it just like they can your car if you don't pay for it..lol
could you imagine getting your bed or your couch repossessed? if you hide out from them & not let them have it when they come to your door they could have you arrested for theft because you do not have the bill of sale on it untill you make your last payment therefore it is their property not yours!
