I love Tel AVIV, i had so much fun there. I am a Gay but faced no problem at all, in fact i felt a lot more safer than in london. Tel Aviv is a modern city. Not sure what the weather will be like when you go but when i went in April, it was SO sunny! I came back with sunburns!

Enjoy and don't get all paranoid about bombs.

Make certain to get to M.A.S.H. It's a fairly nice bar where a lot of Americans hang-out... Lots of clubs and restaurants down by the sea... Banana Beach is a bar right on the sand!!! Fishing, sight-seeing, get to Jerusalem's 'Old City' (spend an entire day there, shopping, stop by a Bedoin standing on the side of the road and take a ride on his camel, get to The Dead Sea, etc. Lots of stuff to do. A lot of history... Have fun!!! email me and I can tell you more... I've been to Israel twice... Someone above mentioned Jaffa City. That's a fun place. Nightlife is fun... This is located just a little south of Tel Aviv... Taxi drivers are friggin' CRAZY (but fun)!!! Security is a bit tighter than most places (for obvious reasons), but don't be afraid of enjoying the culture and people...

Go to Jaffa (that whole area
is great, the market, the artists'
galleries, the coast line...)

Go partying (Tel aviv has some
amazing bars and clubs)

Go to the Harbors (Tel aviv, Hertzeliya, Ceaseria)

Enjoy!!!!

Well, no trip to Israel would be complete without visiting Sheinkin!
It is an artsy folk neighborhood that is similar to Greenwich Village in New York or Fremont in Seattle. It has shops, cafe's etc. Also there is good shopping and dining in the Azrieli Towers (also called the Peace Towers or, Shalom Tower). The beach is a good place for in line skating, listening to local musicians and viewing art.
Don't forget to visit Independence Hall.
I personally recommend all of these things but there is so much to do in Tel Aviv.
Have fun, be safe!

There are some great clubs there and if you like beaches, you gotta try the ones in Tel-Aviv! Once you are there, trust me, you will find things to do! Have a great time!;)

Don't go - Israel is acting towards the Palestinians the way South Africa acted towards its black population under apartheid (which is pronounced apart-hate, by the way). I refused to do business with South Africa then, and I refuse to do it now with Israel.

And please don't accuse me of being anti-Semitic (somehow that term was co-opted to mean anti-Jew when it doesn't). I've had Jewish girlfriends and none of them were too fond of Israel and its land-grabbing policies. Gee, why are the Muslim states so pissed at Israel? Could it be because Israel *steals their land*?!
