guys asking questions, must be more specific.

Anyways here's an answer for that. A packaged holiday deal with a scheduled flight is a complete package, where your flight ticket and schedule is confirmed. For example a 3 day Trip starting dec 15-17th

Scheduled without, is more likely a packaged deal without a specific date, you decide the date you wish to go, if the tickets are available then voila.

Package holidays come in many forms - some do not involve flying at all. If the holiday includes a scheduled flight then it means exactly that - the airline concerned is providing a scheduled service, e.g., BA. Many packages include a non-scheduled flight. The airline would be a Charter airline, e.g., Monarch, and all the passengers on the flight would be on packaged holidays. With scheduled flights the passengers on the flight all have different reasons being there, e.g., business, visiting friends or family, holiday, attending weddings or funerals. It's like being on a bus - everybody is going in the same direction but for different reasons, whereas on a coach everybody has the same destination for the same reason.

The package holiday itself is the accomodation with whatever meals, drinks and activites included. Flights may or may not be included. If flights are included, they are typically charter flights. Charter flights are flights where a plane has specifically been chartered to take a group of people to a specific destination. Scheduled flights are flights that are scheduled to depart at a given time on a regular basis regardless of how many people wish to fly. Charter flights are always full and holiday charters typcially carry tourists. Scheduled flights will carry whoever wants to fly for whatever reason and so can be empty when it departs.

Not an awful lot, these days.If you are good at Internetting, you can put together a package for yourself, reserving your own flight and your own hotel.
I would always prefer a reliable airline with a scheduled flight. The only reason to go for a package is if it a lot cheaper.
