Hawhawhawhaw Cheapcon and Liarair. I love that. My husband and I both together and individually have travelled the world and clocked up a zillion air miles. We hung up our travelling bags quite a few years ago, but hardly a day goes by without we look at one another and commenting on how utterly relieved we are that we don't have to do any more flying in these wacky times. It used to be fun. We'd dash to the airport as close to the last minute as possible, scurry through the ticket processing and baggage handling, rush to our gate, climb the steps, receive our smiling, friendly greeting from the steward or stewardess at the plane's entrance, locate our seats, stow our hand baggage, flop down, and get ready to enjoy. The journey was always relaxed, we chatted with other passengers, joked with the flight personnel, and yes, we pretty much always enjoyed the food. On one occasion I was even granted my request, on a particularly friendly flight where I was recognised, to go upfront and say hello to the Pilot, in flight. LOLOL try doing that these days. As often as I flew, over the years I never lost the thill, and sense of wonder, at being "Up There" - and when flying into a dawn with its crisp clear dazzling sky blue, and the yellows, reds and oranges of the morning sunrise, was always just awsome. We stopped flying before all the crazyness began, and I am so glad that I never had to have my marvellous experiences trashed by all the security trappings of flying these days, with all the accompanying stress, security checks, delays, anxieties, and uncertainties about every "strange looking"passenger, who might, or might not be carrying a bomb in his shoe.
It's a Brave New World" sure enough; and "brave" is right. These days I think you have to be rich, self confident, and have the physique of a professional wrestler, and preferrably have a well recognised face, to get the kind of treatment on a flight, that this little old nobody used to get routinely in a past time, to make going anywhere by air a truly ;pleasurable, smooth, and uneventful experience. Just another one of so many things from a kinder, gentler time that I'm a fraid are gone forever, and more and more of the people alive today, never knew, and never will.

I don't see how this is any different from any other airline. All the airlines I know of charge extra if you go over the baggage limit or weight. Additional flight insurance is also extra. You don't have to go with the airline's insurance though. There are plenty of independent agencies that are much cheaper. Taxes, fuel, and airport charges have nothing to do with the carrier, that's the government for you. Every ticket will have these charges, not just "low cost" carriers.
I'm not sure if what you printed was a typo or if it was accurate, but you said that more than 1 bag is 10.00 per piece, and you paid 100.00 excess baggage. Why would you possibly need 10 extra bags unless you were moving?

Well - it is cheap if you are a businessman with a laptop bag and nothing else!
If you want to go on holiday - use a holiday airline or factor in the extra costs. Have only used a cheapo airline twice and they were not too bad - but it takes a knowledge of how they work and close attention to detail. Usually I use one of the other airlines which does both scheduled and charter flights and buy through an on line bucket-shop (ABTA bonded).
I suppose it comes down to reading the fine print - buyer beware is very much the case with such airlines. Don't try to book with them if you have any sort of disability either - unless you tell them well in advance!

Is natural for low fare companies to apply this policy... u should try and take less baggage next time. Anyway even with the big companies u couldn't take more than 10 kg without being overcharged. And u don't have to use their own insurance...Taxes, fuel, airport charges u pay them anyway... Good luck in the future...

I totally agree, my son had the same problem with a slight variation. His excess baggage weight was on his return flight with the exact same baggage he went over with!!!!
He was stranded in Barcelona until he managed to contact someone to pay the extra £70 to get home.
Give a clear tariff AND STICK TO IT!!!!

...........nope!!It's supposed to be cheap and cheerful - all part their business strategy. It's not a con.......it lists all their charges - you just have to read these things.
If you want it included in the price then fly Virgin or BA (personally I recommend Virgin) - these companies are more expensive in the first place 'cos you get more weight etc.
