i am having trouble finding the software 2 dwnld so that i can dwnld pics from a camera i had bought 4 my nephew.Can any 1 help plz?

Plug the camera in and try this program:
http://picasa.google.com/index.html

Click on file>import> then select device .. camera should show

Most cameras nowadays don't need software. Just plug them via USB wire to PC and they appear as a hard drive from which you can grab the pictures.
