If not, then where did Jesus get his other 23 chromosomes - his "Daddy DNA"?

So, what you are saying is that if there had been DNA testing in that time, Mary would not have been able to prove God as the father of her child?

God would have placed deceptive evidence of an earthly father in the body of Jesus?

djmantix... so, what is it then? Deceptive genetic material poiting to earthly parentage, or did he just have no Daddy DNA, making him not "fully man" as the Bible claims? It's either one or the other.

A Spirit has no DNA. So, if Mary had Jesus, she was the only person contributing chromosomes to the offspring, which would necessarily be a clone of herself. Thus female. Jesus would have to be female!

And your point is that God is subject to our physical laws? That God can create man from dirt but he can't figure out reproduction? When you consider that God created everything that exist from nothing..then your question makes no sense. God is not a scientist in a laboratory restrained by natural laws he is God. I'm saying you need to think about what you are saying if we presuppose God isn't God then your question might make sense. God can bring forth children from a rock if you gain spiritual understanding this might have meaning to you. Deceptive DNA? Where did you see a promise of God what a mans DNA would be? So are we to deduce that man is eternal if every man has a mother and a father who is man? We have no begining and if you choose to use the evolution theory the same would still apply to a monkey or lab rat whatever you think we came from? You are teaching we are eternal? but denying God could be? As far as him being man the Bible teachs his flesh was man but he was God in the flesh. His flesh was killed making it apparent his flesh was mortal.

We have 23 pairs of chromosomes packed into each of our trillions of cells. One member of each pair came from mommy, the other member of each pair came from daddy. Obviously, since Jesus did not have a human father responsible for his life, his DNA was provided by God. As one poster above mentioned, if God created Adam (who had no human father or mother) with DNA intact, why could he not supply the necessary DNA to Jesus?

its a futile thing to talk about. jesus's body is made up of matter, but his soul is what we should be concerned. he is the embodiment of love, full of bliss, n kindness always, emanating it to everyone humans n animals alike. we've forgotten that, nor r we emulating him but we r engaging ourselves in discussing about his genetic makeup. how shallow n foolish can we get?
