I'm not sure why its impolite to do it.

they even named trees differently here so not to offend.

Black Boys are native trees.
they are now named Grass Trees.. as not to offend.

I have been passed on the street, yelled at.> White.. so and so.

yet if i did it .. it would be raciest.
I don't know.. sometimes it feels like i don't have many rites left.

I think everyone should stop holding grudges from the era of when African Americans were enslaved. WHITES weren't the only ones in on the job, Africans were selling Africans as well. Most black people who are offended are ignorant and hold a grudge that WE, living today, were not a part of. I think everyone should get over it honestly. White people are white people, blacks are black people.

I wasn't aware that it is politically incorrect to say black.
My black friends all say they don't mind and prefer to be called black rather than African American since none of them has ever been to Africa.
Maybe that's just my friends...

why is it politically correct to care about the answer to a question like this but politically incorrect to say "does it honestly matter?"

don't think i'm bashing on u, i'm not. i'm bashing on those in society who can't get past this whole color thing and just accept words like white & black at face value, NOTHING MORE.

I think some people just like to get offended. It makes them feel self-important, and it gives them a reason to lecture someone.

it is because black people use
"black" for everything,if they don't get a job they say it is because they are black,if their kids can get into one school is because they black,if you call they black they say you are a racist.so you can never win in the black white situation.they are the one that put racism in every 4 words that they say .It is time for them to get up,get out of the welfare and go to work like everybody else.

maybe if we just called ourselves Fred, or electrina, or ogunshola, or pang biying, or chiara, or devendran, or Mr T, the question would never arise, except in the case of identifying criminals.
