the accuracy of the Bible (as said by so many on here when any possibility of its inaccuracy due to translation, etc. is questioned) and let so many people hurt instead? Why not put some of that energy into keeping rapes and murders and starvation from happening?

Please do not read into my beliefs based on the question. Please no ad hominem arguments. It's just a question.

Because where His people are concerned, He's not a control freak.
The thing He IS working so hard at is to change hearts which are at the root of all good and evil.

God does not work any harder to preserve the words or accuracy of the Bible than any other written material. We have free will and thus generation after generation chooses to keep the words of the Bible intact. The same argument can be made of any religion's holy scripture. When we read about accounts of fires where the Bible was the only remaining item intact, I do believe this is not coincidence in that whoever found it and those who are inspired by the discovery can choose to react positively. But, this could happen in any country, any culture, and for any religion's holy book. The point being that God touches us all in a very own unique ways based on our perception of Him/Her.

As far as hurt and spending energy to stop the negative things from occurring.....God does not intervene on human free will. These things are unfortunate, but humans are the ones doing it, not God....maybe we can learn from these bad things and truly appreciate the love we have for family and friends so that when bad things happen, they'll already know our unconditional love for them will be there to support them and them to us if something bad happens to us.

This is an understandable question. People cannot reconcile belief in an almighty being with that being's seeming permission of wickedness.

There is a very good reason why God has not AS OF YET intervened in human affairs to the point of stopping all wickedness and evil. It does not mean that he isn't doing anything. He is doing something. He is very busy covering all the bases so that when he DOES intervene soon, it will be once and for all and in one fell swoop. The real question is, what are we doing as individuals to make sure that when he does intervene to stop all wickedness, we will be on the side of preservation and not on the side of destruction?

Instead of asking why isn't God doing something, the question should be "Well, what is God doing?" Because I tell you truly, he IS doing something.

Your question makes no sence to me, what does the accuracy of the scriptures have to do with keeping rapes etc from happening?
When everything is going well, who needs God, but when rape, murders and starvation is happening people all of a sudden need God. It is the problems that we cannot handle that force us to look to God and therefore those things are necessary if salvation is going to spread to the whole world.
God never said He was going to make this world perfect, He said He was going to take us out of this imperfect world and take us to a perfect world that He has prepared for those who believe in Him. If your plans are to create a perfect world, you are on your own, God is not with you, and those of us who are with God will be gone.

many already do but the sinners that do them rapes and murders are the ones accountable to God. as far as starvation we seem to help other countries which is good but we need to do more for our own country-

energy is put toward God as everything we do should be for God's glory-

If more people read and did what He had inspired then we all would be living a better life but because people want to think they dont have no use for God then this is what happens..God is not to be mocked,,people wanted God out of everything and now wants to blame God cause things go wrong..

Well that's a good question especially considering that he did a pretty crappy job of keeping the bible accurate or consistent.
