Ordinary tourists are not allowed into Saudi Arabia. However, it's not impossible. Any woman who is qualified as either a nurse or a teacher can get a job in Saudi Arabia. Once inside you'd be relatively safe as long as you were discreet. I've known unmarried couples who have lived for long periods together in bliss there.

I know that they usually working in Saudi is usually for singles as it is tax free (if you don't own land in your home country). If you are going there to live I wouldn't do it with out being married. It can be a hard place for a woman you have to remember being a woman in Saudi is not like being a woman anywhere in the Western world. You have to wear traditional dress and cover up when going out.(but I've heard it makes your clothes budget and hair bills cheap) I know you have to treat your boyfriend different in public no PDA's. Do a search of women's issues in Saudi and see if you still want to go. I know a lot of nurses who have gone and love it. Check with your embassy to find out all requirements.

I would say yes. It is illegal for a man and woman to be together unless married. Check out the British embassy in Saudi. I live in Kuwait. It is not as strict here as Saudi and I got married to come here. My cousin lived there for 6 years. She told me that her canteen at work had separate areas for men and women. Living in the middle east has its rewards but you should look into it properly. In Saudi particularly it is very restrictive for a woman x

It's probably worse than selling drugs. If you really need the money, then just prostitute yourself. Thats pretty much what your doing now. Except you are endangering other people at the same time. Endangering the people around you, who now will have this illegal person with possible alterior motives(Terrorism, money laundering, theft etc etc) , being free, and having the SAME citizen rights as any of us who were born here, or who fought hard to get it. This man obviously wants to get in the country ILLEGALY b/c he LEGALLY can't get into the country. Do you want another 9/11? B/c that could be one of the many reason's why a lot of middle easterners are willing to have their secret groups front the money to Unkowing people like you... to get their people in the country. and you don't think anything of it. How else did half of these people who created 9/11 get into the country? Sure, some may have legally entered. But not all! Not the ones with criminal backrounds, probably like the person that you are now possibly going to subject your fellow american citizens too! You don't think its a big deal now, b.c you "need the money", but there is a lot of things at risk. American livelyhood. Plenty of people "need the money," but aren't willing to marry a total stranger to attain it, and more than likely get caught, b/c Nowadays they pay CLOSE attention to marriages, especially marriages to foreigners from the Middle east, as Biased as that may sounds, I'm sure you would agree. THere are so many steps involved in that process, and terrible consequences if you get caught. It's not worth if. You might as well sell drugs.

There are only a few ways to enter SaudiArabia..
work visa, umrah/hajj visa (muslim religious rites), visiting a relative, and very restrictive tourism (limited to sponsored groups and certain areas)
You wont be allowed to go see your partner unless you are married, get hired by the same company or are muslim yourself and want to visit to perform those rites I mentioned above. Your partner would also have to get permission from his employer before you can visit.. Even if you are married, you dont automatically get in.. You need to have a sponsor, either employer or Saudi national citizen sponsors you. There is a load of red tape involved. .. and no they wouldnt cut your head off, whoever said this is ignorant... If you enter illegally, they would just deport you, nothing more.

When I was working in the middle east i couldn't get a visa to go and work there because I am unmarried and female. To travel in SA their religious laws say that you should travel with a male memeber of your family and while they make exceptions i think they are few and far between. But if you do go there you will not be able to be together, it's against the law and his company may not allow you to visit if you are not married. Someone i knew in Kuwait had to pretend he was married to get his girlfriend to say in the company acommodation and it's a bit more liberal in Kuwait. So in answer to you question if you want to visit regularly - then yes.

It would be wise to do so. It is possible for unmarried women to get tourist visas to Saudi as long as you are "invited" by a relative. It is very possible that your boyfriend would have to lie about your relationship, claiming you as a relative. It is never advisable to enter a country under false pretenses. If you are planning to shack up together, it would be really advisable to get married.

Mintee, as usual, gives some sound advice. Listen to her as she speaks from a position of knowledge.
