why is god white, black or other?--why does satan look the way he does.?

God is NOT black, white, yellow, or chartreuse. God is a Spirit. In fact, He is far greater than a mere spirit. He is the Loving Intelligence that birthed this universe and all that surrounds it. He has no physical appearance, other than that of Jesus. Satan too, is a spirit, and can change his appearance according to his purpose. He can appear as an angel of light to people like Mohammed, or he can have a truly frightening appearance that would shame the best special effects people in the business. Mostly, though, spirits - ALL spirits - take on the appearance that is expected of them.

have you ever seen god? has anyone? sorry to answer your question with a question but its just one of those things where everyone sees god as what they want him to be. and since im neither god nor the devil for that matter it will be difficult to say. the question is why do people represent god as an old father time figure and satan all red and with horns. because the first creates a positive image and the latter doesnt.

Because as the world sees it white is pure and god of course is pure so they make him white but the pictures are not true because if you read in teh bible he was not pale skinned he had dark skin with hair like wool. And Satan I have no clue why they make him look like that ... no body really knows what satan looks like well ... only god and the people that are in hell right now. But I guess they make him look like that because it looks evil.

We feel better if we can relate to an image of GOD or any messenger, angel, spirit, saint etc. The devil comes across from the later image of Celtic GODS. to demonize the celtic religion, Curanos (spelling?) a celtic deity that was a shape shifter and often took the likeness of a goat , was grabbed as a good image of what the Devil would look like. We are Silly (or dangerous) when we force others to see them as we want. all religeous zealots are dangerous!!

God has given us the shape and to this universe. He is pure from all shapes and no one know how looks like. This all we made the shapes of Him. He so powerful that He can make work with the things which are invisible like Electricity, Heat and Air and many more.

I thing people just say God is what ever color your comfortable with,he made us in his own image,..or images.An as far as satin is concerned,...I think the movies play a big part in that,...accordind to the Bible , he used to be an Angel that fell from grace.So I would guess(like anyone else)that he looks like your vision or version of an angel (only meaner).

How did you know they`re black/white ???
They`re (God, Holy Spirit, Jesus, angels, satan) in spirit form, if they remain in that state, no way to say what facial race, color and culture and particular facial forms...so the idols are bad representations of the Gods, it is always wrong and sacrilegious.
If they want to manifest themselves in human form, they would look like you... (whoever they want to converse/talk with.)
If you are talking with the stone/wood idols sales representing the spirits formed Gods in the street or market manifesting God`s faces...sorry to tell you, they are idolatry and God will punish you for accepting it in your belief.
