I don't think he's a terrorist. He just doesn't agree with American policy - neither do I, and that doesn't make me a terrorist. Besides, I like his (old) music.
He's lead a pretty interesting life - he's probably a pretty strange guy. He was king of an island nation for a while before he converted to Islam.

The problem is so many people never heard of Islam until 911 and that's all they know of Muslims is terrorist activities. That's why the good Muslims of the world need to publicly denounce these people who are doing these terrible acts in in the name of Islam,so the negativity won't be cast on all Muslims and people will understand that these acts are not the Muslim way.Look how people now regard the Amish now that they've shown so much forgiveness towards that man who killed their child.People for a long time thought the Amish were a cult or fluke, now people are interested in their way of life.Killing will never bring people together, that's a job for love and that's why God is love and what we do in His name should be done in love.

Well based from what I've seen on answers (myself included),people will fly off the handle at things before confirming facts.I mean really now....I've talked with some of the Muslim men and women on here and they seem no more of a terrorist than you or I.People will have their notions long before fact checks.
Oh also-I am an exclusive country music fan.So I guess I should have typed this then-

I work with these same ignorant people every day. They believe that all Muslims are terrorists, all men in turbans are Muslims, all Muslims are Arabs and Saddam was connected to the 9/11 attacks.
I gave up trying to educate them because they KNOW they are right.
The one thing they have in common is that they listen to country music ONLY.
This isn't a slam on country music, just a slam on the ignorant b*st*rds who are always right even when they are completely wrong.

Actually, Cat Stevens is one brave man for leaving the way of life he's been leading and replacing it with true path. NO, he is NOT a terrorist!

I believe he was not permitted to enter the US at one time after 911 and they were trying to link him to funding terrorism. The accusation was never confirmed and I believe, it was dismissed. He started granting interviews after this and found his way back in the music business because his son expressed interest.

when someone find the truth, there is no return back. and there are those who knew that Islam is from their lord, but turn away ignored and pretend they don't know nothing. who they are fooling? God or themselves. God already knows what's whisper in their inner selves.

Mav wouldn't count him as terrorist. Yusuf Islam is the name he goes by now, Mav thinks. Mav has not heard his recent music.

So it wasn't just a moon shadow following him after all! I just thought he was paranoid. Turns out he was right. By the way I noticed your screen name. Are you a ventriloquist?
