Not if they keep taxing the rich and feeding the poor, 'til there are no rich no more. You need money to become a superpower. In other words with all the socialism going on and stifling the free market, they aren't likely to become a 'super power'.

I don't beleive so.
The majourity in India seem to strive for mediocrity.
Creative thought is at a minimum.
The class system seems to still be in effect.
What they may lack in military enthusiasm, intelligence and will can be made up some in sheer numbers but would only be for show.
They though could become an Consumer Superpower.
Niether much threat or help to the world community on the military front.
But needed for a world economy.

Using the "help and advice" that I receive from call centers as a benchmark ;
I would say that India has more chance of moving the whole of its population to the Arctic,than ever becoming a world power.

I'm so sick of calling the credit card company and hearing some guy from India reading back my personal information.
The way these banks and big corporations sell us out is amazing...define treason. In due season, this "global market" idea is going to bite the USA in the *** as well as undermine the security of the nation. It already has.
