How do you do addition on microsoft excel?? xx?

IF I wanted to Add what in A1, A2 and A3 together:

=A1+A2+A3

or

=Sum(A1:A3)

I just wanted to add that you can also do addition within one cell, by typing "=[number] + [number]" then enter.

= (cell1) + (cell2) for basic 2 cell calculations but

e.g. =C5 + C6 + C7 + C8 + C9 [COLUMN]
=C5 + D5 + E5 + F5 + G5 [ROW]

= SUM (cell1:cell50) for a long row/column of values.

e.g. =SUM(C5:C9) [COLUMN]
=SUM(C5:G5) [ROW]
