My kitten was perfectly fine before I went and when we got home he is limping and his leg looks out of place. He was in a carrier with no sudden jolts. He was quiet and playful all the way there no problem but he cryed all the way home.

I took him the the local Humaine Society vets. I would think they would know how to do there job?? I also called and told them he is hurt. They seem to think they are going to try and charge me for a recheck vist.

Check with another vet. Stimpy's vet is practically a member of our family.

The longer you wait to take your kitten back to the vet the less likely they are to admit to anything that may have happened.

You don't say if there was any blood drawn or not. If there was that would be one possible cause for kitty's pain. Most cats will struggle against the needle which would cause some tenderness. Even if he didn't struggle the site where they drew the blood could still be tender, and if this is the first time your kitten has been to the vet or had blood drawn he could still be scared. Most vets will more than likely take an animal to a different area of the clinic to have the blood drawn. They struggle and cry and howl sometime sand that can be upsetting for an owner to see.

Hopefully your kitty will be fine!

My cat cries when in the car and in the carrier. I would take the cat back to the vet and have him checked out. I cannot belive that they would intentionally hurt a cat. It is my guess that he will feel better in a few days. Maybe he jumped off a high place and hurt himself before going to the vet. I am sorry that I know of no recourse. Hope kitty feels better soon.

I would go back to the vet, the same one, and ask what is wrong with him. If the vet does not like cats then they probably did hurt the cat. It may be the simple fact that he might have fell of the table. if your vet does not like your cat then switch vets. I hope i did not scare you but i had to do the same thing because my old vet did not like my dog.

how experinced is your vet??
it seems like he hurt your kitten! maybe he was too rough? kittens are fragile! i suggest you call your vet ASAP to demand what the hell did he do to your cat! the fact that your kitten was limping and CRYING means that it is in pain. you should take it to another better vet. asap!
