HD has 1080 lines of information capability, but regular TV has only 480 lines of information....

A HD will work for you in the future....an regular TV may just quit recieving a signal in 2009....

Best to invest in HD

Plasma and LCD TVs - more dots (pixels) on the screen to light up for better definition with HD, HDMI sockets for connection to HD TV boxes and HD DVD players , when they come out (soon). HDMI and normal VGA connections for PCs (and some games boxes) with superior pictures compared with non-HD TVs.
