I met a woman and we went out for one month. It was wonderful. We were both attracted physically and mentally to one another. The chemistry was amazing. After one date we decided to date exclusively. We'll call her "Susan" for the sake of answering this question.
Her ex and her were still friends. The ex cheated on her twice. They broke up 2 years ago after a 2 year relationship. The ex has had 2 g/f's since and has cheated on them both.
What I didn't know was that the ex was jealous that Susan had finally found someone that she was happy with. The ex told her that she wanted to get back together.
Susan called me and told me that she still had feelings for her ex and was going to give her another chance. Susan also told me that she loved me very much and couldn't let go of me. She wanted us to be friends. However, Susan and I both have admitted having feelings much more than friendship. She even asked if it didn't work out would I take her back.

No insult here, but your runner up in the great sensual game of her life. Of ALL the people she has met... YOUR SECOND. The other woman ... SHE'S FIRST. If the other woman didn't exist, you two would be romping around in sensual glee... but, my dear, you are Al Gore to her G.W.Bush. Painful as it may be your 49% to her 51%. If you can deal with that and WAIT until it MAY POSSIBLY SOME DAY GO BAD, then you are pathetic and don't have self esteem, because while she is deep down on the other girl, your going to be all alone eating bon bons and ben and jerries just waiting for your turn to taste her. FIND SOMEONE THAT'LL MAKE YOU NUMERO UNO. Don't settle for runner up in someone else's race. You want someone to say "You are the only person I have ever wanted to be with for my entire life." Instead your waiting for "Now that the other girl is gone, hey lets have fun." Grow some self worth, grow some balls, and find YOUR mate. Go right now, find someone else.

Sounds like you may have found a good friend but it would be wisest to move on as Susan may be back in forth with ex for a long time to come.

let go...you will find someone who has feelings for you only becuase if she is still hanging on to the old, whats going to happen once they break up and lets not say she wont want her back again? just move on...it might save you the heartbreak later on. Good luck!
