neither; positive training; not cruelty and animal abuse ; would you like to be pinched to learn something; poor excuse for training

I've used an ear pinch on all my dogs except for one - it didn't work so we went to a toe pinch. That is to say - I've used these methods on my dogs who needed a forced retrieve. Not all do. Some natural retrievers do not need force training methods at all. ALL of my dogs, force trained or not, have ended up being willing and happy retrievers, despite the occasional use of force to train them. Sometimes you've just got to teach them that they must do something for you because you said so.

Would you like someone to pinch your toe or ear to get you to do something? I hope you don't have children, buddy.

I don't think you should even have a dog. What if it messes in the house? Going to kick it?

Why pinch? Why not give the dog a treat instead.
