Hi Miley, Guess I can help you here.. 1st thing, you need to understand that dandruff is not a disease, but an aggravated physiological activity of your own body, and hence it is not really possible to cure it with any medicine or shampoo. What the shampoos normally do is remove the visible flakes and make you happy for a while and of course the scales return after a while. What we can do is try to get to the root of the issue. I'll just tell certain things that trigger dandruff; see if any of these apply to you and then try to change or escape that causative agent. 1. Dandruff happens mostly at puberty: Due to the increased hormonal activities, imbalances are created in the body and can result in dandruff in susceptible individuals. There is nothing much you can do to escape if this is the case, except controlling the flaking and timing it out till may be like age 20. 2. Dandruff gets triggered by dry climate. This is one thing that most people don't notice. Is your living quarters too dry? If so get a humidifier installed in your living room/ multiple rooms. That does help. As winters tend to be drier, there is an increased occurrence of dandruff during winters. 3. Are you using too many hair styling gels/ does the one you use contain alcohol. Hair styling products are known to trigger the occurrence of dandruff, so just check that too. 4. Are you too stressed out? Stress does cause increased dandruff. Actually, you must avoid stress not just to curb dandruff, but to save yourself from a host of other ailments that can affect the quality of your life. 5. Are you taking regular hot/ warm water baths? If so, avoid getting the hot/warm water on to your scalp. They don't go well together. From my personal experience, I have had a return of dandruff each time I've broken this rule. There are many more reasons why you could get dandruff, and the ultimate solution in preventing the recurrence lies in finding your personal trigger and avoiding/ eliminating it. To give you a jump start and get the flakes removed quicker, I would suggest using Nizoral Anti Dandruff Shampoo, but do shift to more natural methods once you get to know the trigger that is causing it.

Dandruff is the most common condition affecting the scalp. Skin is constantly renewing itself and dead cells from the scalp fall off as new cells form beneath them. Everyone loses skin cells in this way, but with dandruff the whole process is faster, so a greater number of cells are shed. The cells are also shed in clumps that are big enough to be seen by the eye as dandruff flakes, particularly when they land on dark clothing. The scalp can also be itchy. The medical name for this condition is pityriasis capitis.
Many people think that flaking occurs because their scalp is too dry, and stop using shampoo because they believe it makes the condition worse. This is not true. The flaking occurs due to the increased turnover of skin cells.
Dandruff is believed to be associated with an overgrowth of a fungus commonly found on the skin and scalp, called Pityrosporum ovale.
Severe cases of dandruff are caused by a disease called seborrhoeic eczema or seborrhoeic dermatitis.
Seborrhoeic dermatitis causes greasy, bran-like scale. The seborrhoeic area - the scalp, the skin around the nose, the lines on the cheeks, the eyebrows, the ears and the torso - may also be red and itchy.
It can be difficult to prevent dandruff completely, but it can be controlled. The condition may also improve as you age.
Anti-dandruff shampoos containing the antimicrobials selenium sulphide (eg Selsun) or zinc pyrithione are helpful for mild dandruff. These are active against the fungus Pityrosporum ovale and are widely available.
Antifungal shampoo containing ketoconazole (eg Nizoral dandruff shampoo) provides a mild, yet effective treatment for dandruff, particularly more persistant or severe dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis. It is also active against Pityrosporum ovale.
Ketoconazole shampoo can now be bought from retail outlets such as supermarkets, as well as from pharmacies. It should be used twice weekly for two to four weeks to clear the dandruff and then needs to be used regularly every one to two weeks to prevent dandruff coming back.
You should see your GP if your dandruff persists despite treatment or gets more severe, or if the scaling also affects other parts of the body, as this may be due to other skin conditions such as seborrhoeic dermatitis, eczema or psoriasis. Your GP may then refer you to a dermatologist or skin specialist.

Your hair needs special attention whether you do some sports. In fact the sweat mix with the hairs’ oily substances, thus making locks flat and bodiless.
What can we do to dry and nourish our hair? First of all try to use sylicon-basedproducts, and for the first month, put restructuring compresses on your damp and perfectly washed hair.
Here you are some precious “natural” tips regarding compresses:
Banana compress. Make a purée of bananas and put it on your dry hair. Wash it after 20 minutes with a delicate shampoo.
Nettle lotions. Lotions and tratments made of the plant’s juice are largely used to do away with dandruff and to fight against hair’s weakness.
Cress natural lotion. Mix the cress’ juice and the alcohol (95°)use it once a day to massage your scalp.
One more tip: pleae take great careover your feeding! Some food represents a true natural defense for our hair. In fact carrots, rich in vitamine A, help protecting eyes and skin from solar rays. Instead spinach, chicory and dark-green vegetable are useful to defend the hair colour.

Wash it off with anti-dandruff shampoo as needed.
Every one looses scalp skin but when that is excessive or in very large peaces it is more visible.
