MMMMM, good question! I would love to go to Austrailia, but I don't know anyone from there, and I'd probably just giggle when folks said G'day, and Put a shrimp on the bar B, and the like. Their accent's are so appealing, and friendly, and Im shy, that's why.
My best friend lives in Devonshire, England, so probably there, and I have a wee crush on him, too! LOL Besides, there's easy access to Scotland from England where I REALLY want to go, but since I don't know anyone in Scotland either, I can just visit as much as I like. I love both England and Scotland's history so much, that that in itself will keep me busy for 20 years, and help me not to feel the pangs so hard of missing my beloved home, America. There has never ever been a greater place to be.
Geez, now I sound like Dorthy, from the Wizard of Oz! "There's no place like Home, there's no place like Home" LOL

My favorite 3 have already been mentioned - New Zealand, Australia & Ireland. All beautiful countries friendly to US citizens with unique but similar customs.

I would pick Ireland, seems like a great place to be for 20 or so years, I could listen to their accents forever and the sightseeing would be awesome!!!! I could look for relatives that I have never met.

Australia... Seems wild and fun. Or Ireland, though Ireland seems a bit touristy in the summer.
