Converting music formats is easy, and there is lot of free working software to use.
First you must rip the music from the CD, this can be done using Windows Media Player, which is already installed on your PC.
[Note that sometimes ripped music comes in mp3 format]
Organise all muisc you wish to convert into one folder.
Download the free software from: http://www.mp3-cd-converter.com/
Follow the instructions and it will convert the music.

There are mp3s available of every song for free.
Also if you convert a CD into mp3 that does not give any better results.
Still if you want to convert, There is a software named DBPoweramp music converter, others can be found by searching for Music Converter or wave to mp3 converter on yahoo or google.

My personal favourite is CD-ex. If you Google it it will appear. It rips directly from the CD and converts in one into either wav. or mp3 format. There are loads of different programs available for this.

If you want to convert music that you already have on your computer then I recommend DBpower amp, which has the nifty feature of adding itself to your right click menu. Again, Google baby Google... or to be fair you can Yahoo too.

Have fun.
