I work with a cute guy and would like to get together with him. He touches me at every opportunity, sexual tension is unbelievable. He makes it clear he wants me to, but as soon as I respond, he backs away. Two weeks ago he told me he has a gf and promised her he'd be faithful. I backed off. As soon as I backed off he was after me hot and heavy again. He tells me I'm his best friend and he would be nothing without me. I don't get where he is coming from....help

He's not respecting you enough to be honest and "play" honestly, right? How does it feel to be his "toy"? Not very good and it's confusing. He may well be suffering from a lopsided "grass is always greener" syndrome. In any case, do you want such a yo-yo in your life? It's seductive but you might get mighty tired of his games. You may have to figuratively bump his nose to get him to back off. Anyone who tells you that you are his best friend is lying because friends don't treat friends the way he's treating you, do they?

Sounds like he wants something he cant have. You have to tell him to back off or step up. But make sure he isnt attached anymore first.
