Whenever I go to post something, I think that I see a little green button that says "Check Spelling."

Wait, though, It gets weirder!

It seems to me like when I push this button, the web page somehow reads what I have typed and tells me if I have misspelled any words, then it offers helpful suggestions!

Am I the only one who can see this button? Surely if it was really there, more people would take advantage of it to avoid looking like idiots, right?

Please help!!

I like your style ...

I wonder why so many folk spell so badly in everyday transactions at a time when using a computer keyboard means that you're interacting with something completely unforgiving of spelling mistakes - and won't help you discover what you've done wrong. Sometimes the spelling is so poor that the spell-checker doesn't stand much chance of working because it needs to make an informed guess about the word that was intended.

Campaign for Proper Spelling!!!

Your problem is that you know how to read. Most people can't read what the little green button says, so they just post away and end up looking like idiots. But they don't realise it. And who cares? The more people look like idiots, the better you look.

Let me guess! You are saying that some people don't know about this? Actually, you are probably right there. I think it is because many are not used to this luxury. There are so many forums without spellcheckers, one tends to to look for them. Thanks for bringing up the point and let's hope a few more read your posting and realize that we have a good spellchecker and it is for all of us to use and enjoy the benefits.

In my opinion, they are just in such a hurry they just don't take the few seconds to check their spelling. They are more interested in the points.
It's pure laziness, but what they don't think of is their image & what it makes them look like.
It is very important to me to make sure my answer reads like I at least passed spelling in the 6th grade !

Yes you are hallucinating!
You need to get help to try and control your thoughts of grandeur and superiority over others and what others do.
I know there are many medications out there that will level you off and you will loose the desire to police simple things as this.
Then perhaps your life will open up and you will be able to truly see things as they are and there importance or lack of importance! It will also help with that deep seated anger you have when you see other then what your delusional mind thinks is right!
Good Luck Young Man!

I share your hallucination. And it amazes me how I can see it and most others don't, especially the teens who enjoy chat talk. The system somehow knows if you are a teen, and makes that button disappear.
