Elk. hunting them when they are in the rut is an unreal experience. Bugling and having them answer back angry is one of the most eerie sounds ever. It makes the hair on your neck stand up and your heart race. I have shot 2 at under 20 feet charging me.
Another i like to hunt are mountain goats. They have amazing eye sight and are a tough challenge to get close enough for a good shot. You have to have excellent fitness as they tend to hang out above the tree line and it's usually a tough climb to get to them.

I truly love deer hunting. But I have never hunted bear or elk. It
could not be better than deer hunting.

I enjoyed deer hunting best. Bear was too easy, and never hunted elk.

i have done all three
with out a doubt elk hunting is my favorite
the reward at the ind is a years worth of good meat
wild boar is awesome meat too
as far as the hunt itself goes it would depend on how you hunt
bboar hunting with dogs is not much of a real hunt
sitting in a stand waiting isn't either
the way i hunt is called still hunting
i find a good area , track them , stalk them and use all my wind reading skills and abilities to outsmart them.
to me that is real hunting
on the ground, fair chase
the thrill of the hunt is much the same with any game if you really HUNT
the rewards in the end are different
knowing and understanding the game you seek and outsmarting them in their own environment is rewarding

Unfortunately the elk disappeared in Florida After the last ice age. The small piece I was given was mighty tasty though. Bear? Yuck! Very greasy! Buck? Best filets ever! Boar? Try having them ground up as spicey Italian sausage! It is great! Emu? Tastes like what ever you put on it. Rattler? I fail to notice any resemblance to chicken.
