You're missing the most obvious point by a country mile...any American military vehicle that drives down an Iraqi street is automatically followed by dozens of kids.

Why? Because they know the average US Marine/soldier is a softie when it comes to children, and they stand an excellent chance of getting some candy or toys out of the encounter.

Well lets see. An American Soldier/Marine was out in the local population and managed to ensure that the local children got their exercise, and that the American Soldier/Marine dropped off a bottle of water to ensure that the children didn't suffer from Heat Exhaustion. Seems ok to me.

Isn't it better than raping, torturing, and being killed by the insurgents?
Even they didn't succeeded in applying true democracy in Iraq, today hundreds are killed while we play with small kids.

No, but there has never been a war yet where some one hasn't disgraced their uniform.

It is how the authorities deal with any infringement that counts.

NO but there are jerks in the military just like in public here. I think we should stop watching this crap of what bad things they are doing and just support them. I am sure this has gone on in previous wars but it is just not covered as well.
