"
And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man...

And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs."

"And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."

That passage takes place during the tribulation, at the battle of Armegeddon. It is the final battle before Christ enters into His earthly kingdom, and all of His enemies are destroyed at that time. The Church (Christians) are not in the picture, they have been removed at the rapture, before the tribulation begins. God's people in this time period is the nation of Israel, and at this time they will all turn to their Messiah and will be saved in one day.
Romans 11:25 "...that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; 26 and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written, "THE DELIVERER WILL COME FROM ZION, HE WILL REMOVE UNGODLINESS FROM JACOB." 27 "THIS IS MY COVENANT WITH THEM, WHEN I TAKE AWAY THEIR SINS."

The angels are the Angels of Death; the agents of change[transformation], the vine is Christianity, the grapes are the Christians, the wine press is the situations and circumstances that put enormous pressure on the grapes.
