Sometimes I do, then suddenly the Holy Spirit convicts me of the thngs I've done previously, and I repented of it, and God punishes me for doing so.

You see, It is easy to become a christian in words, but not in its true essence and meaning.

Those who does not face conviction is not really a christian, but a fox dressed in sheep clothing. Medaning to say that God is not in them. Christianity is not a religion as others pointed out. It is faith from the riseng christ. If you do not have christ in you, that means God is not in you at all, so there is not conviction whatsoever do.

This is the saddest part of being christian in words only, you cannot enter the kingdom of God. because all who does things can not inherit the things God has purpose to those who love him.

I used to years ago. But one day, this thought came to me and I have never been the same since...
Whenever I looked down on someone or had a strong dislike for them, a voice would tell me, "Jesus died for that one, too." And that put a whole new perspective on things for me. Now, I not only experience deep conviction if I hurt others, but I hate seeing people hurt each other also. And there is this one guy I used to pick on in high school simply because I knew he was too chicken to do anything about it. I am cursed now because of it. It haunts me all the time. He didn't deserve the way I treated him and I feel like crap for having done it. I'm glad it haunts me though...because that's what I desrve!

I think you are correct in this, are too many Christians losing the plot and becoming Christian in name only these days.
it seems that far too much time is given to verbal lectures and not so much is dedicated to loving service which marks a christian out, in the early days after the death of the Apostles it is recorded that the pagan Greek and even some Roman citizens would remark,` look how these Christians love one another` I wonder if they would give such an accolade today.
it`s time to get our act together and start showing the world the true face of Jesus Christ.

peace in the Lord.

I go out of my way not to hurt others, because I caused so much pain before I knew Christ. However, if I was intentionally causing others pain, I would have to seriously evaluate myself, pray, and get in the right frame of mind again.

If a Christian continues to hurt others after they've accepted Christ, they need to go back and meditate on the cross. It's in understanding of the immenseness of the sacrifice and the love required to stay on that cross by choice (not to mention the rest of it), that we are humbled and broken; thus convicting us of our sin.

A true Christian has compassion, tolerance and understanding for others. He would not hurt others in the first place so there is no room to experience any regret for hurting someone.

I try not to hurt others, at least, not willingly.
However, I also describe myself as a Christian fault of defects, faults and sins, which I strive to correct.
My faith is strong but my convictions easily forgotten!
But I try to pinpoint on my defects for I think I know them.
Consequently, I try not to criticize on others what I should first criticize on me.

True Christians are very hard to come by these days. Most sin beyond belief, pray for forgivness on Sunday, then repeat the whole proccess. Your about as likely to find a "true" Christian as you are to find a muslim sitting in temple praying with all of his jewish friends!!!!!

You can describe yourself as one- but it won't be true. The Word is clear that followers of Christ will have the heart of Him and will obey His teachings. Without the Holy Spirit softening our hearts- what difference do we show from the rest of the world."They will know we are Christians by our love"-Great Quote

A true Christian, a true Muslim, a true Buddhist, a true Hindu, a true Sikh, a true Jain, a true Zoroastrian - in general, a truly ethical human being - does NOT "do things that hurt others."

Mav thinks there are times we allow our flesh to over rule our God.
You aren't living in the LORD the moment you hurt someone, but God is forgiving.

However, as Christians, we can't leave a wasteland of anger behind us, we need to try and fix what we did wrong.
