How do I open a rar file on a Mac computer?

on a PC I use winRar, but what can I use on a Mac?

On a Mac, .rar files can be expanded using either Stuffit Expander or UnRarX. Both utilities are free and can be downloaded from their respective websites.

you can still use winrar. you can download the mac version.
