right? You're not in your ideal financial or living condition?

Would you wait on love because of this?

There have been times when I have purposely stopped dating because I just wanted to be by myself and work on my own "stuff". I think these periods of aloneness are really necessary for us to appreciate being with someone else.

That being said, I would probably take the chance on love if it came along. Each person knows when she or he is in the right place for that. People who rush into love or date (or God forbid MARRY) someone just so they won't be alone often end up more unhappy than those who are more choosy.

That's what I am doing right now. My friends say this is crazy and that I should not wait for a "perfect moment" But I believe that preparing myself financially now and putting off dating will make me have a good self esteem thereby making me become attracted to the kind of person that I would really want to get to know at the end of the day.

If I start dating without proper financial status then I will only attract people who I am not interested in.
I think it is a wise investment.

I think the second you decide you want to leave love for a while until you feel secure enough within yourself, you find yourself smiling at the guy 3 cubicles down from you or having the meanest eye contact with the guy at the coffee shop that makes you feel like your heart is pounding in your mouth... ok I spend way too much time on here hahaha! If it happens you'll know what to do... dont try to plan your life or love... just "live" and it'll all work out so much better than you ever thought it would.

NO! Go out and date. You may never know when it is the right time of your life. If you are low in cash, you may not be able to do everything that you want to do. Some of my best dates have been walking around the mall looking, renting a video or just sitting around looking at TV. How about helping your date clean her home or washing and waxing her car. Do not sit at home waiting for the right person to knock on your door.

Nobody can ever be ideal. But if one is very badly off, then, perhaps, one should hold one's horses, for some reasonable period of time. What is reasonable? The answer depends on the "common sense and specific circumstances," of the persons concerned.

love doesn't wait, it just happens. Marriage is what you put on hold until things are better in your living and financial condition

well, love is a feeling which is above all financial thing. yes for knowing a person or to show that u have a feeling about him will need not necceary money if he like you parlley then a cup of coffee invitation is good enough.

if you impressing any body by show off your money it means you are buying your love.

I did - and I regret it to a certain extent as too many good years were lost. Having another person in your life can help you through these difficult times. But I take your point - sometimes it is hard enought o take care of yourself never mind another person.

It is upto the individual... but dating shouldn't always be the need to spend money... Just spending time with the other person and having the companionship should be the overriding factor...

I have. It was a mistake - but you can only rely rely on your gut feelings on this. I don't know the exact situation...Just rely on your own judgment.

Love comes when it comes - you might miss it. And timing is hardly ever perfect on anything. But love is worth the aggravation.
