I already have a casket, burial plot and tombstone even though it might be another 50 years before I die. Is going to happen one day so I went ahead and arranged for it.

If buried in a coffin and a vault and embalmed it will take many years before the body returns to dust, if at all. If you know the Bible you as well know that when Christ was crucified and died the curtain in the Jewish temple was torn and the old ways ( old testament) ended and the followers or Christians were to follow the new, or what the disciples of Christ wrote. The old Jewish tradition was to entomb rather than bury and share the caves/tombs together. Then later the family or others came back and broke down the skeletons to fit in large vases as grave sites were scarce. The heads were to face toward Jerusalem when buried but there are people in explosions and wars blown in a hundred pieces so I think the spirit does not have to be buried in any certain manner, do you? There are millions of people that have a fear of being buried, so cremation makes sense.

I am a Christian and I don't really care what my family does with my body after I die. Whatever is cheapest for them is my desire. I'm not gonna be there anyway.

Wheeliebi - Maybe the question is possessed. lol

I don't care anymore what they are going to do with my cadaver. It's up to my family which process they can afford. If my dead body would still be of service in the medical society...then go ahead...let the medical students have it. Then there I can proudly say that my life and death is not just for nothing. Sounds weird huh!...but am I not entitled to my own opinion? Smile )))).

I want my body to be buried, not for religious purposes but to give back to the Earth and fertilisers.

Einstein said energy is nether created or destroyed. so if you burn your energy goes up in flames, if you get buried your energy is bug food. if you get embalmed you mess with the cycle

i never knew that. but i wonder if it was because they were burning it for regilious reasons like maybe they were adopting some of the pagan rituals and that's why God didn't like it.
