No it is not OK, christian music masked as anything sounds awful and makes my whole body cringe.

Masking music is a way to induce teenagers to the christian or whatever religion and making them seem cool for listening to the same rhythms that are cool at the moment. It is just a marketing ploy for one of the most profitable business of all time... Religion.

Plus music is art, musicians were inspired by something or the other when they create it, it should not be trampled, shredded and destroyed with christian overtones so that a few teenagers can feel cool about themselves and a couple of pastors can attract some more mindless sheep to their very profitable congregations.

In terms of sheer sound, death metal is more "evil" sounding. The guttural vocals and dissonant guitar riffs contribute to that. In terms of gangsta rap... Well, it's not really evil, I wouldn't think. Nor does it try to be. Regardless, I would say neither are really "evil". Lastly, death metal is very far from being "devil worship". Only a small percentage of bands even touch on the subject of religion, not even taking devil worship into specific consideration.

I love Christian rock and rap-when it's done well. I'm a Youth Pastor- and I know my students aren't going to run out and get the next Gather CD or Hymn Track. Music with a positive message is great. God wants us to be in the world but not conform to it. That means that we are a part of culture-we just don't change our message. Anyone who thinks that electric guitars are from the Devil and that bass beats will send you to hell needs to look at the master of praise himself-David. The man had all the best musicians of the day doing his music-and would you believe he danced to "Go tell it on the mountain"? David would be all about a Christian rock or rap concert.

NO, That heavy metal & Rap music is so demonic, Now there is certain love songs that I consider suitable, & some may classify it as rock & roll, I look at them as love songs with no demonic meaning to it. There is some Oldies But Goodies songs from the 1950' & 1960's that is decent. But then also you have to know when to shut off the radio
