The source of the variety of mistake turned right into a lot earlier...at the same time as the bible became translated from hebrew to greek. The source of Mary 'wanting' to be a virgin comes from a loose translation of Isaiah 7:14. the guy defined there is stated as an 'almah' in hebrew or youthful lady. Isaiah became speaking of a particular lady, ie a snug spouse of the king, and subsequently not a virgin. The hebrew note for virgin is 'betulah', which Isaiah makes use of elsewhere a minimum of 6 situations. in spite of the indisputable fact that, at the same time as the e book of Isaiah became translated into Greek, both 'almah' and 'betulah' were rendered 'parthenos', virgin. subsequently, some centuries after the alleged activities, at the same time as the early christians absolutely had the Greek variations of the former testomony, and they determined that Isaiah 7:14 turned right into a 'prophesy' of the introduction of Jesus (which it isn't), Mary grew to develop right into a virgin.

Actually, the bible doesn't really claim Mary was a virgin. That is simply tradition.
If you look at the original Hebrew, the word used where you see "virgin" in the English translations was "almah" which means "young woman." If it were "virgin," it would have used the word "bethulah." The mistranslation happened with the Septuagint translation, which translated almah as "parthenos" which does mean virgin. The gospel of Mark (in Greek) says "virgin" but the author was (mis-)quoting Isaiah, so that part of the English translation is actually correct.

Luke chapter 1:28-37, but the thing with Mary is that people put to much emphasis on her and not enough on Jesus Christ.

The point that she wasn't nothing special-just a devote and honest follower of God- is the point. God used her to do something miraculous and that shows He can use anyone if they have the same obedience and faith. All Mary worship is anti-biblical- just a woman who did what God asked of her.

Mary had 3 qualities that made her worthy.
1 virgin - Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
2 purity
3 from the lineage of David

listen my friend, mary was not the only virgin in the bible or in the land of israel as of that time. she only had the favour of god to carry the messiah and the king of kings\jesus\. they were many virgins living in bible land as the costome of the jews demanded. so because she was chosen by heaven to give birth to jesus does make her the holiest as the catholics portray her. so plsss grow up and dont worship her or make any image of her.bye.

She was a good woman, nothing more.
When Elizabeth praise Mary, Mary replied and said that she was honored to be chosen and that He would be her savior.
