I am having real problems trying to import multiple values into one field with a File Import into MS Outlook's Inbox.

I've tried importing from Excel and Tab-delimited text file. For example, I want to import two email addresses into CC field: one@one.com, and two@two.com. I have tried all of the following formats:

one@one.com; two@two.com
one@one.com, two@two.com
'one@one.com'; 'two@two.com'
'one@one.com', 'two@two.com'

But either only the 1st email address is imported, or both addresses are treated as one entry. I confirm this by opening the imported email and selecting ReplyAll.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

For openers, for example - importing from an Excel file, I would put the two addresses in two separate columns. You cannot work with what you have above because you have put two addresses in CSV format (comma separated value) - and have, in effect, put them in two separate fields. In a CSV file, fields are separated by commas with a "return" at the end of the record.

Importing from Excel was a piece of cake. I will list the steps from memory. If I forget anything, please leave me a message.

First, in Outlook, you create a folder to hold the Excel list.
click Contacts
cl File
cl New
cl Folder
name the folder and be sure it falls under Contacts.

In the Excel file, you must select all data to be imported, then give it a range name. Select the data, then click in the cell address box and type a name.

Open Outlook
File
Import
the Wizard should display
you indicate the file you wish to import

This is where I am "fuzzy." After you click o.k. to import the data, you must click "map character" -- what this means is you will drag, one by one, a field heading (left side) from the Excel file, and drop it onto the field name in Outlook (right side) that holds that type of data. For example, you would drag Fname in your Excel file, over to First Name on the Outlook side.

Follow the prompts. It's really easy. If you get stuck, let me know. I documented the steps on my other PC and it is not available to me at this writing.

As far as I tried I suggest that if u r importing from a text file then separate the different ID's by or next line dont use any comma. And the other problem during this import process is that it does not import the 1st line or 1st ID, for that u may copy the same ID twice in the 1st and 2nd line and follow the same process. i used the same ID's which u have suggested and I fetched them all at the same time from a single text file.

For Further u may contact me loi_ili_iol@yahoo.com on yahoo messenger, I m online

You may need to adjust permissions on the pst. Restriction could keep you from accessing the file.
