When someone called him "Good", Jesus said that the only person who is "Good" is his Father, even though he himself was/is perfect in all ways! (Mark 10:18) So, if he isn't "Good", then certainly none of us could be! This is quite a controversial subject. So, instead of my telling my views, I'd like to share an article that elaborates on God's view of the subject ...

I encourage you to check the Scriptures in your own copy of the Bible.

If good people go to heaven based upon their being good, then salvation would be based upon works. God tells us that salvation is a free gift from GOD.

Isaiah 64:6
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

If our righteousness are as filthy rags, how can it buy one moment in heaven?

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

The only way to go to heaven is through Jesus

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life

No, not all good people go to heaven. You have to be saved to go to heaven. Everybody has the chance to repent, ask for forgiveness, and ask Jesus Christ to come into their hearts, even what we would consider the bad people.

Jesus said that there is noone good but God.

Our "goodness" will never be sufficient to allow us access into God's holy presence. Heaven is a place of holiness and only those who are cloaked or covered with God's holiness are granted access. We are offered that cloak in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, who took our sins from us by His sacrifice on the cross.

Of course, you remember the scripture:
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven... all good people go to heaven. How much more literal does scripture need to be?(LOL)

It makes no difference if you're good or evil. There is no heaven or hell. I am good simply because I choose to be good and not because of some heavenly reward.

The ones that are truly good in their heart, there are alot of people that act good but aren't. That's why God is our judge because he can see the truth within us.

Heaven doesn't exist, dear. It is just another lie fabricated to keep you trembling and in line.
