If evolution is untrue, then there is no such thing as knowledge. If evolution is not true then there is no difference between knowledge and belief. If evolution is not true, then we have no possibility of ever understanding anything about ourselves or the universe (or if there is a universe), including the alleged existence of mythical supreme beings.
Without the scientific theory of evolution, every life science, including modern medicine, collapses. To be true to their faith, all those who reject evolution should also refuse modern medical care since (without the theory of biological evolution to explain and justify it) it is no different than Voodoo and Witch doctoring.

No, it is about right and wrong. The evolution / creation debate is not one where we can agree to disagree. The earth is either 6000 years old or it is billions of years old. One side is right and the other is wrong. If the earth is only 6000 years old then the human brain is incapable of understanding anything, including a 6000 year old earth. Therefore, either way the creationists do not know what they are talking about.

I think the problem is with the term theory... people don't understand it's use in science.
In science, a theory is a proposed description, explanation, or model of the manner of interaction of a set of natural phenomena, capable of predicting future occurrences or observations of the same kind, and capable of being tested through experiment or otherwise falsified through empirical observation. It follows from this that for scientists "theory" and "fact" do not necessarily stand in opposition. For example, it is a fact that an apple dropped on earth has been observed to fall towards the center of the planet, and the theory which explains why the apple behaves so is the current theory of gravitation.

I don't know. These are the same people that will tell you that God made man in his own image, but then come up with some contortion about how God is this spirit that is everywhere and we need to embody his spirit, blah blah blah.... Instead of just wow!, if God made man in his own image, then he must look kinda like us, only maybe better? They don't want to think about how rediculous their answers are because seeking truth takes too much effort. People are just married to their own ideas and don't listen. I'm afraid they don't even listen to that same spirit they believe is trying to guide them. Let's not make the same mistake.

I am not against science, I love science. I love space and stars and all that stuff, it makes me more amazed with God. I don't like though that science tries to make God fit their realm of thinking, and not make their realm of thinking fit God. If God the creator of the universe says he made man, and he did it in 7 days, I am not going to question him. How can you say he created it all, and then question his ability to do it in 7 days. Just because you cannot figure it out doesn't mean it doesn't make sense. I can't see God physically, but I believe he exists.
Creationist have found a ton of proof that the earth can be just 6,000 years old, no one wants to even entertain it though, cause then that would mean there is a God and we are a world trying to rid ourselves of the need of God and pretend we are so superior we don't need him. We need him more today than ever, and it makes me sad that some, not all scientists stop believing in God just because they can't write down the explanation on paper. That should make them love him more, that he created science and made it so amazing! Anyone can go with the theory of evolution, but it takes a strong person to go agaisnt the crowd and say no I think differently.

Evolution is not worth arguing about because it is a crock of crap. Theory and that is it, and why is it called a theory, because it cannot be proven by scientists by anybody.Wake up sunshine and smell the coffee God is the creator though his beloved begotton Son Jesus. Look at the intelligent design of the eath. No way it could come from this so called big bang crap. Evolution is mans way of denying God. How Pagan.

Well, the unfortunate truth here is that to some people, the theory of Evolution is a religion. They will fight for it with a fanatical vengeance. Now, run that in to Biblical Dogma and watch the sparks fly.
It's not about right or wrong. It's about pride.

It challenges the literal reading of Genesis, so a few loudmouths will turn to rhetoric, deception, psuedoscientific jargon, and outright lies. They can justify the lies, since they have scoured the Bible for loopholes that justify immoral behavior.
