So, this morning I ask a question that questions the Israelis and shortly after I'm bombarded with violations!!! Is this not proof that Yahoo answers is the most biased institution known to man?

The US has vetoed another UN resolution that would condemn Israel's military operations in the Gaza Strip.

Sounds to me like you have a fan. Don't take it personally. I think they just automatically delete anything reported as a violation even if it isn't.

Problem is, if someone reports a violation...the e-mails are generated automatically...and the response time toe get the matter resolved are slower than molasis in january. I had my last account deleted almost 2 weeks ago and am sitll trying to find out what specifically I posted that was reported as violation.
In the meantime I am unable to contact the company I get my medicines from and I am running low. If this isn't resolved soon I may run out and runing out of insulin is a bad thing....

All it takes is ONE person to take a question or answer the the wrong way and BAM! violation...deletion. And believe me there are people that are pretty thin skinned about just about anything you can imagine. Plus there are some people that simply report vilations for ths sake of making trouble...they don't really care about the content...they just want to see how many people they can get banned for violations...and they don't necessarily car who or why....

They really REALLY need to get a better system in place to resolve these issues expediently, espeially since there is such potential for abuse...

Almost without a doubt your question this morning has upset someone who then looked at your other questions and answers and found ones where they could prove that you had violated the Community Guidelines.

That is a shame because people doing that to genuine questions makes this a sad place to be. Also you risk losing all your Yahoo! access if whoever it is carries on.

Checkout the link below to see how easily people can report you for breaking the Community Guidelines.

I hope that they will leave you alone now. Some questions will elicit contributions to the knowledge database especially if they can be contentious!

Be careful. I agree that what you said is quite true, and that's not only happening to you. But, unfortunately, the best thing is to be cautious, and trying not to break any guidelines. Because, once your email account is gone, you are done there. Complaining won't do anything.

I really doubt whether Yahoo people use their brain to determine whether a post is breaking guidelines. Also, I think if a group of people start reporting you for any little thing, one day you get suspended. So, once again, be careful.

I'm afraid some already reported this question.

I think someone has it in for you, have you answered the violations to the customer care E-Mail, I had my first violation the other day, because I dared to call a cheat a cretin, however after I sent a couple of E-Mails explaining the circumstances, I received a very positive feedback, Explain the problem and I am sure that they will sort it out as some of your violations are just plain stupid.

Good luck, don't take it personally...,,,

Reporting obvious racism or the use of swear words when they are insulting someone is one thing, but are you for real, you got a violation for asking an argos question,

Have you upset someone perhaps and they have been through your last answers and reported them all, if so, it shows that reports are not checked, and just go through willy nilly. Were the last 5 answers you made, the last 5 you had reported, these are the ones that show up on your profile page before clicking on show all, check them through, to see if you had any one giving you grief on these.

OH MY GOD! That is just ridiculous!

How can they promote a site where you can ask questions, express yourself and be free to make comments on other questions when you cant even talk about todays issues!

I am not very good at the latest news on wars, conflicts, parliment etc and everytime I ask a question asking someone to explain to me I get a violation! The thing is I would protest and get everyone not to use this site because of this but it is way too much fun making fun of people! lol

I got my first violation today for answering a question on the dead sea scrolls, all I did was paste a link to a christian website. Maybe there is a fault in yahoo answers, as I don't even remember answering the question so it was a while ago.

C'mon. I take it you're above the age of consent, right? You know what is offensive and what is not. And you know what forum you're in. If you pose a serious question, wishing for a serious answer, you won't get violation notices. Exercise a little maturity in your approach to others, and you will get the response you so desperately seek. And no, unfortunately, I don't own a Xbox 360. Pretty sweet bit of technology, so I'm told. Sorry yours doesn't work.
