I have an awesome relationship with Jesus Chris and I still go through problems. I would not trade them for anything though. I have learned so many amazing lessons from them and have been able to get closer to God each time. God tells us that this place is not our home and that there will be suffering, but if we stay strong and be patient, we will get to him where we will never suffer again for eternity. God would never ask you to go through something he didn't think you could handle with him.

You are not the first and certainly will never be the last to ask this same favorite question: Why do good people suffer ?
You are about the millionth and three person to ask that question.
The reason is simple: We humans live in an IMPERFECT world.
Till God decides to restore everything again in future, you can expect to see a lot of "good people" suffer injustice, tragedies, accidents, dying of sickness and diseases, continue in poverty, no luck, no miracles, not much help of any sort.... any worse things you can think of.
No amount of ranting, cursing , philosophising, reasoning, arguing, or blaming God or religion or politicians or people or even the devil, is going to change it.
We just have to face it and live each day the best we can, do what we can to eradicate poverty, fight injustice and be a 'world shaker and a history maker' in our own way.

Dear amru,
Suffering exists in this world because people are imperfect and sinful. There are many causes of suffering in this world and much of it is contrary to God's design and purpose. For example some people suffer because of others-- the kids with alcoholic parents. Yet most people will blame God for that when God has set standards for conduct found in the Bible.
It's a reminder that everything that people do affects other people. God has given us his standards for living which should encourage and build up people- but as we look at society at large we see a lot of people only building up themselves and often at the expense of tearing others down.
But we are all guilty of not having lived life exactly the way God would want and in that way no one is good. Only God and this is why people need to receive salvation from Jesus. Because God does not accept us based on our righteousness and good works but based on the work that Jesus did on the cross.
Suffering is allowed to increase our faith, but mainly suffering exists because man is sinful and sin has consequences.
hope that helps. kindly,
Nickster

Hi!
Actually this world is meant for suffering in order to purify ourselves.
Good People do not suffer. However we are all sinful in some way.According to our karma( activities performed in this- and in previous lives) we may enjoy or suffer. Good activities result enjoyment, sinful activities result suffering. However, enjoyment experienced in this life, which is meant for sense gratification is temporary. Real enjoyment can be only experienced if we try to please the Supreme Person. Hope this help. Greetings from Nayika

Some people are stubborn.
Some people have a long history of life experience, with no explanation for any of the previous suffering.
Some people take a leap of faith....no matter how hard it hurts.
They jump in with both feet....and demand to know.
They often fail...but they get up and try again...for they know that a few more stings, is nothing compared to the previous blows.
Peace.....live and let live!

There are 8 worldly conditions: happiness & suffering, gain & loss, status & disgrace, praise & blame. People living in the world will have to deal with these, including good people. Plus good people are not always good, they may have done something that harm others in the past, maybe they just appear to be good but they're not, or people who you think are good may not be 100% good all the time.

Suffering is a part of the human experience. We all suffer at some point. It makes us stronger and wiser (hopefully). It's up to YOU to help yourself out of your problems. The more you learn how to help yourself out of problems, the less you'll suffer from the things you can control. Of course the things you can't control (i.e. death of a loved one, etc...) - that's a different story. You just work through it.

Why shouldn't they? They live on this world like everyone else. Does some moral choice that they make allow for some cosmic immunity? And what have you done for them? Have you done anything to quell the suffering of good people?

If a person is not right with God, then suffering and pain will come down upon them. Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Also, Trails and tribulations with come upon people that are right with God so that they can show God how they will react to their problems. The amount of time that one will spend in a problem is determined by the way they handle it in Jesus' eyes.

We are in a quiz in this world and suffers are the questions for us. God is testing our patience and faith in Him. If we keep our patience and faith for every bad events in our lives then we will be saved. The only thing is to be thankful for everything He gives to us.
