I think the trick is letting Him. I mean, we're so quick to hang onto guilt about stuff, that we can't believe that we can ever be forgiven, be healed of our emotional hurts. I say, the next time anyone asks Him for help, imagine Him saying, "Thou art healed." Then BELIEVE it. You'll be surprised how fast your tears dry up. Even if you don't want to believe it, do...for about 30 seconds....then 30 seconds more...then 30 seconds more. See if you're not up and smiling and dancing after that...In some ways, it is the power of suggestion. But isn't that what God is--the "suggestion" that you are healed just by asking Him to make it so?

Sure he has. And yes, he heals emotionally, physically, every which way. He is God after all. Don't forget he walked this earth for 33 years as a regular man. He knows every want and need and desire and disappointment and heartache we know. And a few more to boot.

Yes, God can. I am living proof that He can because there were emotional issues in my life about 10 years ago after my divorce from an abusive husband. He protected me through that dark time in my life and has strengthened my emotions. I am no longer depressed, no longer having nightmares, and no longer have the fears that I once had......and all of this has been done without the popular medications and conventional means. There were no therapist or counselors, just God.

All thoughts we have begin in our minds. If we feel sad, or happy, seek forgiveness in ourselves, the beginning of sex starts there too.
Prayer life is a way to stay in tune with emotional distress that comes from within or the influences of the outside world. Yes, belief in God can heal emotional issues as well physical ones. If you believe He is your Father and creator, then your faith can heal or at lest help you cope with emotional issues of any nature.

Yep. Knowing that God is in control really makes a difference. The apostle Paul assures us that God only wants what is best for us, and is looking out for our best interests, and I believe him.
Romans 8:28:
For we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
This scripture gives me hope, even in the most dire of circumstances. I would call this emotional healing.

Ofcourse yes. And repeatedly. The promise of Allah, in the holy Quran is to the words that the peace of mind is there only in Remembrance of Allah. That is what is called Litany, the Rosary, the Japji sahib, the RaamNaam japna(in Hindi)... To invoke God, all the time...

I believe that deity (the God of your understanding) can give us the strength and wisdom to heal ourselves. After I learned I would have problems conceiving a child I became extremely depressed. My Patron rescued me from myself, showed me that I still had a lot to offer the world (i.e. that I had a purpose), and helped me pull myself out of my depression.

yes, lots of ways. For this, If you think, god is everywhere, God comes to you and heal you through your heart. even meditating is one of the way. Or just say "Om" whenever you are depressed or sad, or you can say while you are happy too. It gives happiness and positive vibrations which make peace around you allways.
Say "Om" slowly.. and say it whenever you are free, or when you go for a walk.(say by your heart..)
