I think they want a little fear associated with c-sections because you can easily have issues with infection or wounds reopening if you aren't careful with hygiene and your level of activity. I think you were pretty lucky not to have the wound reopen since you had to do housework with a lazy husband sitting around. I would have definitely reopened my wounds when I kicked his @ss for being lazy.

I think that in America the hospitals are worried about getting sued. The put you in a wheelchair even if you delivered your baby naturally.
I had a c-sect. with some complications after and was wheeled out (I live in America) but I think I could have made it to the car. I was walking around at home well enough...

I was not in a wheel chair, but was not up walking that night. I was in the hospital 4 days and up walking on the 2 day after she was born. It was a slow process. They cut me from belly button to pubic area. Abigger cut than usual. I had 20 staples. So this made it hard to walk. I certainly was not doing any house work for acouple of weeks. Just bearly picking any thing up off the floor.

i comprehend you ought to be scared, i comprehend i became. Having a C section became easily one of my greatest fears about my being pregnant. I had to have one at the same time as i became 32 weeks alongside, by way of complications. the following is what I realized from my experience. a million. in simple terms loosen up! The extra you're calm, the further your toddler will be calm. 2. lots of the time you're wide awake throughout a C-section. you may pick to be asleep, yet i for my section had to be wide awake to entice close what became taking place and to confirm my toddler on the instantaneous. 3. seek for suggestion out of your Dr. and whoever will be with you about what you rather want. in case you want your spouse to stay with you or move with the toddler when you're being sewn up is a tremendous ingredient to some. certain, restore is longer with a C-section, yet there are some belongings you may do to make it a touch extra reachable. I have seen some women people not stroll for too lengthy after the surgical procedure and they seem to take longer in therapeutic. I walked interior 12 hours and made myself arise and stroll as quickly because it became secure, and that i comprehend that it helped a lot. the first day you may take drugs, and that i rather advise that! ;) yet once you may wean your self off, do! you gained't develop into depending on the medication and also you'd be able of keep in mind those first few days with your toddler extra obviously! one extra ingredient to imagine about. in case you do confirm to have it vaginally back, and also you go with the help of the not difficulty-free paintings section... in simple terms imagine about the way it could be if there'll be complications because the toddler is so massive. do you want to move with the help of the discomfort of contractions and then must have a C-section? you'd be so drained and annoyed you may not be able of earnings from the instantaneous like you ought to. So, the real question is... What do you want? do not enable all people make you experience undesirable for in spite of the indisputable fact that decision you're making! it is your existence and your toddler, do what you experience good! Congrats and in simple terms appreciate! :)

Being America it's probably the Hospital being over-cautious for fear of being sued.
To be honest, the most shocking thing is that your lazy arsed husband couldn't be bothered to help with the housework 2 days after being cut in half! (on top of how ever many hours of labour and looking after a new baby)
He should be ashamed.

I had a c section ten years ago and the only time i was in a wheel chair was to be wheeled up to special care to see my baby as it was too far to walk! I guess some women find the pain harder to deal with than others!

Hi there. It is much less prevalent now, with less invasive techniques of surgery, but the reason was to remove the risk of burst stitches, especially the internal ones. Internal bleeding and subsequent infections of the womb were the major dangers in this surgery, but times have moved on.
Regards, Steve.
PS as a man, your husband shames me.

I was very sick after my c-sections and couldn't even get out of bed for a day or two, never the less sit up in a chair.
I guess everyone has a different recovery schedule.
