Well, better way to put it... Is it legal to go on the bicycle lane, or sidewalk? Not on the street

Street legal? No. A driver of a car would never see you! Why would you think of riding a bike on the street when your head is just barely above the bumper of a car? They are fun toys to be ridden off-road, on tracks, in parking lots of closed stores, in warehouses, parks, etc. Since they are not street legal, there is no licence required to ride them. Ride them on a sidewalk, and run into someone, you will probably find the little machine thrown off a bridge into the river. At least that is what I would do with one that ran into me.

In almost every area they are not street legal, and can only be used on private property.

To answer your question, what's the worst they can do you since you're a minor, they can ticket you and hold your parents financially responsible since you are a minor and they are responsible for you. At the very least it can cost them a good hand full of money. So I'd suggest you quit with the smartass attitude and do what's right.

hate to say it but as far as I know they are not street legal anywhere! no license needed , but you cannot use them on a road, I have one too, plenty of fun , but mostly it is to be used in your own driveway.have fun and be careful some of them really fly!!..... you can usually get away with them on a sidewalk unless someone complains, but the best thing to do is call your local police dept to find out the local policy.
