For me, the goal is feeling well and being able to do things I want to do.
The key is consistency. Start really small, but be consistent with the time. As an example, start with only 20 minutes a day. Start by always walking 20 minutes, every day. Then progress to jogging 3 times a week. If you don't feel like jogging, it's okay, go back to walking. But never, ever, give up the 20 minutes a day. It doesn't matter what you do. The consistency is what matters.
You'll find that if you commit the time, even if its just walking, after about a month or two, you'll have a routine established.

I had the same problem a few years ago so I started reading a book my sister loaned me called "Stop the Insanity" by Susan Powter. She is so inspirational and that book motivated me heaps. Whilst I was reading it I lost 23 kgs (sensibly) in 3 months. I think it helps to also have a goal or reason which prompts you. For me...I was in a singing group and I found out we had our first performance in a few months and we had to wear our shirts TUCKED IN to our skirts!!! Well...no way was I gonna be caught dead looking like that so...that motivated me.
Do take a look at the book though...for motivation mainly as some ideas may now be a little out dated (not sure though) but inspiration and motivation is never changing and if that book doesn't help I don't know what would.lol

Quit being lazy. Action speak louder that words! Eat light breakfast of coffee without sugar or cream. with danish, eat salad at noon. For dinner eat small portion with water. Drink lot of water and exercise for 15 min and don't eat anything before bed. If you are hungry, eat an orange or apple. Only one. Pray for wisdom and motivation.

for one thing, realize that everything counts......everything adds up!! whether it's that extra helping of whatever you ate or that short bike ride you took, everything makes a difference!!
start thinking in small terms like that and make small changes then you'll notice larger results over time.
