It's not seven years. Most male cats get fertile between 6-12 months of age, and most female cats around 12 months. There aren't many humans who'd become fertile around 4-7 years of age, are there? ^^;

Cats mature a lot faster than humans, so the first few years contain plenty more "years" than the following. But I don't quite agree with 1st year = 21 years, either. IMO, the first year is approximately the equivalent of 16-18 years in a human. Later on, cats grow older at a slower rate than humans, and can live till around 20 years of age, depending on lifestyle (outdoor cats tend to die young, just like humans who spend a lot of time drifting around streets and alleys), and I'd say that's around 80-ish in a human.

That depends on the age. A year old cat is roughly equivalent to an 18 year old human. A five year old cat is roughly equivalent to a 45 year old human. An 8 year old cat is roughly equivalent to a 55 year old human. A fifteen year old cat is roughly equivalent to a 75 year old human.

its the same as dog years. Every year for us is 7 yrs for them...lifetime of a cat is between 10-15 yrs (70-105 cat yrs)
