I suppose it would be, but I would strip the meat from the carcass, put it in portion size zip lock baggies, put the bones in another bag and freeze everything. Take out one bag at a time and you have just enuf for dinner

Don't do it.

It freezer-burns very rapidly.

You'll end up pulling it out of the freezer and tossing it.
